The folly of predictions

A short note on the perils of predicting the final 16, especially with
crazy results like the 1-0 win by NZ over Serbia.

I liken the confidence in tipping the winners to be like Wayne Swann
providing budget figures based on forward estimates. Basically a
lottery.

I also declare that in Euro 08, my wife defeated me by 3 pts, with her
mix of guessing and some knowledge of the big teams.

Enough said.
